Can it verify the JWT signature?▾
Signature verification requires the secret key or public key. This tool decodes the readable parts without verification — useful for inspection only.
Is it safe to paste JWTs here?▾
All processing is client-side — the token never leaves your browser. However, avoid pasting production tokens with sensitive claims into any online tool.
JWT Structure
- A JWT has 3 parts: header.payload.signature
- Header: algorithm and token type
- Payload: claims (user ID, email, exp, iat, etc.)
